Part of Emergency Preparedness kit/pack. Tried one on 4 inch dead tree limb. Not a power chainsaw but got the job done. Note: Make handles out of 1/2-3/4 branch for better grip and save your fingers.

went to yellowstone and tested it for my firewood.I had a good fireplace every night.Only think is the rings to hold on to are not very ergonomic for fingers so it hurts after a while. I used gloves and that helped.

Tried cutting a 2" branch not even a 1/4 of the way through the saw bound up and quit cutting! Then tried a 1" branch, again the saw bound up and quit cutting less than 1/3 of the way through! With luck and time you might be able to saw through a pencil, but I wouldn't waste my time trying!

Bought to trim a few higher branches out of reach, the saw fills with sawdust and becomes useless. Broke 2 of them on one, 1 1/2 inch branch.

We have one in each first aid kit as a standby. Using one one cut a small limb was easy and it did well. We keep one in the first aid kit to do a cut through release through metal, we hope we don't have to use it as such.

Works fine just let them work and don't force them. Cuts cane nicely.
