I've finished reading the book, and found it truly amazing!Clearly the act of decision making is overlooked as being a simple task, but the cleverness of this book is to look at it with great detail, with an engineering view/approach, breaking it down into steps.This book actually reminded me to apply this approach to other areas of my life, so I'm really thankful for it!Also, the insights about formula 1 and other top categories are definitely a plus!

I did not have high expectations when I bought this book. I just thought an F1 race engineer would have some insight to help an aspiring racing driver like me. I was totally disappointed. The book is very general in nature and does not offer any specific advice. It has very few actual examples and they are all very basic. It is really surprising how a top race engineer can produce such a mediocre text. It is even more surprising that nobody told him about it before publishing the book. A wasted effort.

This book was a fantastic read providing great insights into the bridge between engineering and a drivers on track performance. Ernesto does a fantastic job laying out a framework for how to maximize any Motorsport driver’s on track performance and paves the way for future race engineers to tackle the complexities of managing a drivers emotions both before and during a race. Highly recommend this book to any Motorsport enthusiast at any level.

The book is a great read on insights about Race Engineering and all the efforts put-in by Formula1 teams and their engineers to help drivers prepare their best for a Season. Mr. Ernesto has been generous to share his own personal experiences in the book which connect a lot with the reader. I particularly liked the last chapter of the book the most, on 'Racing Simulation'.Also, I reached out to Mr. Ernesto over Social Media after I finished reading the book, and got to interact with a very humble author behind the Pen, taking time out from his busy schedule to reply to fans like me.I would recommend this to anyone interested to know more about the skills required by a driver (and teams) to prepare most effectively for a Race.

I bought this in order to further develop my university’s FSAE driver program, and the insider information is unparalleled. It’s a fantastic resource in facilitating the development of driver performance.
