Natural Bristle brushes have a tendency to weigh my hair down. I have an old paddle brush that must be synthetic but I haven't been able to find anything to replace it. This is pretty close. It detangles hair easily and effectively and it definitely adds volume. Not as much volume as my other brush but definitely more than others I've tried.
