When I first became a piggie owner, I wanted to see the difference in hays so I bought this for my guinea pig I had at the time to try and he liked it— though he would eat anything lol. The hay was soft, green, and fresh with very little dust which made the hay clean up easier. It smelled great and was easy for him to eat. He also favored the softer hay pieces. I am glad I tried this out with him so I know the quality is great if I want my current piggies to try this hay out as well.

Rabbit approved!!! We go through a lot of this timothy hay, and other than one bag being a bit dusty, it is consistently fresh and seems to be a high quality. The rabbit loves to eat it. Very pleased, would recommend and will buy again!

Second cut Timothy hay is one of the few hays my bunny ( Caramel) will eat. He likes "Sweet meadow hay, from petsmart) but that's hard for me to obtain now that I moved... I've tried oxbow ( he wouldnt touch it), tried kayte regular ( he would rather starve). Tried Kaytee with fruit like carrots and herbs ( bunny only ate the herbs and veggys). Small pet select hay he ignored completely.... Very frustrating. My bunny is a flemish Giant btw so he is supose to eat a LOT of hay.... this process had me convinced my bunny was just anti hay and his pellets where making him gain weight. Luckily I stumbled on a message board that recommended I try second cut Hay and it's been amazing. My bunny now eats a shoe box of hay daily !!! He's much healthier. Definitely try this hay if your bunny is picky and stubborn and anti hay like my bunny use to be. This package is HUGE so most bunny owners would get a lot of uses from this, should last you months. For me and my mammoth bunny it will last a month maybe. Again cant praise this hay enough. Try it!!

Good value. Seems fresh and the oder is normal. I took off 1 star because it's so overly dusty and the hay is cut in such short pieces. Don't know if it is just this bag, but with other brands the hay didn't seem as dusty and the pieces were definitely longer. But regardless, my bunny eats it up!! That's the most important! Update: I have been using this for over a year now. Every once an awhile I will get a bag my bunny just won't eat. I have no idea why. Is it a different cut, is it stale, does it smell different? I can't tell any difference myself. At first I was throwing those bags out after trying for days to get her to eat it. Such a waste of money and a pain because I have the hay shipped as a subscription on Amazon and then I need to go to the pet store and sometimes the one near me is out of hay. Ugh! I stopped throwing the unwanted hay out though. Now I just use the unwanted hay as a top layer to the Oxbow Timothy pellet litter I use. My bunny still gets assces to fresh hay she is interested in right by the box and the unwanted hay doesn't prevent her from using the box like normal. Also the extra layer of unwanted hay I use to just pitch seems to make my more expensive litter last a bit longer. I just removed the soiled hay daily. All and all for the price of the hay and the fact she eats it most of the time and I have found a use for the unwanted hay I still plan to buy this.
