Should’ve got these long ago instead of having front tire swinging around as I loaded bikes onto wall rack or bike rack on the minivan hitch. Also useful when doing repairs or modifications to the stem if you take out the main screw holding it to fork.

Use to make sure your bike rack doesn't let go of your bike
We have used our bike rack for a long time without issues until one.... We had a bike fall and drag for a short distance until we realized what was happening. We got these straps and now feel safe and secure that our bikes cannot wiggle loose from the hook that presses on the tire. Wish we had used them from the start to protect from the damage we sustained.
