Wrong Voltage and no ON/OFF switch
I ordered this for a new outdoor kitchen. Installation started after returning window, and that was when we realized the voltage is 115V, but the country we live in is 220V. Now having problems to have this rectified. There is no ON/OFF switch, thus need to go underneath the sink to operate it.

Not working at all
We purchased this disposal unit, but unfortunately, it was not working properly from the beginning. We would like to return it or request a replacement under the warranty, as the product is defective. Please let us know how to proceed. Thank you for your understanding.

I recently moved into a new (to me) home and in the first week, have had the joy of replacing the built-in microwave and the garbage disposal. When our garbage disposal started leaking around the reset button, I knew a replacement was in order. The old unit was an In Sink Erator 1/3 horsepower unit. I started looking on Amazon and decided on this GE unit based on reviews and my previous experience with the brand. **One thing to note - this model is offered in both "Hard Wired" and "Power cord attached" versions. If you want to plug in the disposal instead of wire it into your homes electrical system, this is the unit for you.** This disposal was simple to install and offers quiet, efficient operation. There are bigger versions of this model, but with the previous unit being 1/3 horsepower, I thought an upgrade to 1/2 horsepower in a similar size would be sufficient. Includes the splasher and stop guard as expected. I did have to cut the hose that runs into our undersink plumbing so it would fit. Wasn't difficult at all. Clear, concise directions are included. This unit does not appear to have an allen wrench for clogs, but so far we haven't had a need for one. For $100, this unit should last a good while and I'm happy with it. Follow up: This unit died after just over 7 years of use. Would turn on for one second then trip the built in breaker. I was happy enough with it so bought another of the exact model. Took 10 minutes to switch them out and hopefully good for another 7-10 years or more.
