The size is as expected. Outer part looks good. Sole has grip. But comfort for working shifts on feet, no way. The inside has stiff seams. The tongue seam towards the toes is the worst. It isnt sewn down, its a flap, so as foot moves the flap moves and rubs, plus underneath flap is stiff. Just sliding foot (with thin sock) first time I had hard edges dragging across in several areas- by toes, upper foot on both sides, and heel. The tongue was the real downfall of shoe because had painful, pointy edges from raw cuts (bad seam, raw edge, bad sewing) on both sides that dug into top-side of feet (see pic), and the entire seam (parts that you cant see) is terribly done. Makes no sense at all. Has to be just a bad sewing job or something. The pic shows the beginning of it. Would expect this quality from 20 dollar shoes. Everywhere visible has clean seams, but feeling inside upper, they are left undone. No way to fit camera all the way inside to photograph it.I wouldnt make it 2 hours waitressing in these shoes without tearing up my foot skin. Total bummer because I need shoes bad. At least I can return them.If it werent for the stiff seams and the terrible, bulky, flappy, seam all along the tongue, the shoe would be just ok. I am not attempting to "break in" the bad sewing job because then i cant return them. I can tell after 2 steps if I wear them they will rub off parts of my skin.

I ordered a 1/2 size up.and they were still pretty tight. I have "normal" feet , not "wide" and could only wear these with thinner socks. The memory foam insole is thick which is maybe why they are tighter. Also since they are a synthetic material, they seem to need some breaking in time. I just git these and will update my review after a week of work.

I have tried, nike, other fila shoes, sketchers, and adidas which is a favorite shoe of mine, and returned them just not comfortable enough for standing on my feet hours at a time, This Fila I knew I would love as soon as I put it on , this work shoe is a keeper,

I needed a good slip resistant shoe that could also be polished. It also needs to be somewhat lightweight, breathable and very comfortable. This FILA shoe met all my expectations and more. I could not believe how comfortable this shoe is right from the start. No breaking in needed. The memory cushion insole is amazing. It's the most comfortable shoe I've ever worn. I even bought an extra pair to have when these wear out. I didn't want to risk these not being available when I needed another pair. If you're on your feet a lot, these are the shoes for you.
