Heavy duty elastic bands
As the box says, heavy duty elastic bands certainly fit for purpose. No flimsy elastic, but good, quality rubber, sensible size and stretchy.

stretchy and strong. good quality rubber, not like the ones Royal Mail uses. these are much stronger.I have not yet managed to break one with proper usage. I stretch them a lot to secure my food container :)
