Anyone in my household who vacuums (rarely) seem to think that burning rubber is a natural occurrence. After they trap a hairpin or paper lip or whatever, they just keep vacuuming. The next effort is met with “This vacuum is a piece of junk “ (since the belt burned thru and the roller no longer turns. In actuality all upright vacuums need a kill switch on the handle so the machine can be stopped immediately by anyone who is astute enough to know there is a problem.

I was about to order a new sweeper, but ordered this new roller and belt combo to see if it would fix my 5 year old one. The belt seemed to be too wide and not as long as the old one so ordered a two pack that said it fit my sweeper. All 3 belts were the same. Went ahead and installed the new roller and one of the wider belts. It was a little hard to pull the new belt and roller back in place ,but this senior woman was able to finally do it. One end of the roller had to be twisted slightly to get it to fit in the bracket correctly. After reassembling the sweeper I gave it a try and Voila! It works like new again. Some reviewers have complained the belt broke soon after replacing or right away. So far so good here. I will update my review if it breaks soon, but I have two more so should be good to go for awhile.

Extremely Disappointed Rubber Band Doesn’t Fit!I purchased this replacement brush roll and rubber band for my vacuum because my original roller brush had a melted, burnt section (as shown in the first photo). I needed a quick fix since my party is TOMORROW, and I planned to vacuum everything today in preparation.Unfortunately, the new rubber band does not fit at all (see second image), which means I couldn’t even use the vacuum. This was supposed to be a simple replacement, but it turned into a major inconvenience at the worst possible time. Now I’m scrambling, and I’m not sure I’ll be able to clean the carpet before the event.I will be requesting a full refund. I should have looked at the reviews beforehand—others had the same issue, and I wish I had known.Do not buy this until they resolve the sizing issue and offer better service. This experience has been frustrating and extremely disappointing. Hope this helps others avoid the same problem.

The brush works great in my Bissell CleanView Swivel Rewind Pet (could they make the name any longer?). However, the belt was much shorter and there was no way I could stretch it enough to fit. My old belt was in good condition, so I just reused it. If you're in need of both a new belt and the brush, better make sure your vacuum has the same length belt!

This fixed us up nicely. The belt of our Bissell Crosswave snapped and we needed a replacement. This fit the bill, so we ordered it. It arrived quickly and was easy to install all things considered. Fits our vacuum just right and we have adequate suction again after replacing the belt, so I suspect the previous belt and roller had been causing problems before it snapped. Our vacuum is cleaning efficiently again.
