My 08 JK has a soft top and needed somewhere safer than the glove box to store valuable out of sight. No issue installed.

Easily holds 2 compact pew-pews in holsters, small valuables, paperwork. I don't guarantee that they will all fit in there at the same time, but there was a lot of room for the compact I put in there, and there was room for a friend for it. I don't know that it would hold a large frame pew-pew, and don't feel like getting it out to conduct that experiment. Installation required removal of a seat bracket, all covered in the instructions. If you haven't got decent fabrication skills, have somebody help you, they'll do it in five or ten minutes. I will order one of these for the other jeep now. Remember, they only fit on the driver's side because of the shape.

Great product when I finally got it. Amazon lost it for a week. Plenty of room inside for the a wireless hole punch or 2...
