Not as described
These are described as 25cm in the title but are actually 30cm/12". No good for smaller hacksaws

Lightweight, Compact, Practical
Review for Convy 25 cm Mini HacksawI always like to keep core set of tools in my toolbox for all eventualities, such as screwdrivers, hammers and also things like a hacksaw. This is a compact mini hacksaw which provides much of the functionality I need but without the size of a larger sized hacksaw. For me this all I usually need to cut all manner o materials quickly and easily. Compact, lightweight and practical as well as being well priced.

Lightweight Hacksaw
First impressions were good, the saw feels extremely sturdy, well made but very lightweight. Unfortunately they’re aren’t any instructions how to set it up and use, so at a guess I unscrewed the silver screw attaching the saw to the cardboard packaging, then flipped the blade around and reattach the screw.I’ve found the it very easy to use, it grips well, doesn’t slip and cuts well through metal, wood and plastic. Saying that I imagine the blades won’t last very long so you’ll have to factor in the cost of replacement blades if you plan to make good use of this. But for the price it really is a brilliant mini hacksaw that’ll get the job done.

Handy Mini Hacksaw... But No Fitting Instructions For The Uninitiated
This arrives very simply packaged and appears well made given the price but...I didn't like that there are zero instructions with how to fit the blade safely. There is an assumption that we are all professional traders so will know how it works. I'm not, and I spent a while scratching my head with how the blade should be secured thinking it must be "locked" somehow into the back of the handle or secured at the front but the blade was too long!In the end though it just slides into the handle and you secure the blade into place with the screw which sits on top the blade. It all felt like I was partaking in the start of an episode of "Casualty" and just waiting for the iminent digit disaster. This is how it is meant to be fitted though. So onto the good things. The handle feels comfortable in the hand with a nice ribbed thumb grip/position so that you can get a good purchase to your cutting action and the included blade is good.So given the price, this is a good mini hacksaw for the smaller jobs around the house. I'd just love to see some instructions!

Good GP Blades
I have dropped a star because I couldn't see the price listed and thus it would be unfair to put an unreserved thumbs up because as ever, price is a factor. That being said these are decent blades. Bi-metallic and thus able to bend considerably before they snap and for anyone in engineering at my age, still a thing of wonder. The amount of times I've been in a really unpleasant position in the engine room of a ship (I'm a marine engineer) in my early days at sea, trying to cut free some rusted and seized bit of pipe only to snap a blade is huge. When we started to get these exotic bi-metallic blades it was almost a cause for celebration.Today of course they are the norm. Oh, how the youth don't know they are born...As far as the quality goes, these are fine. I can't find any real difference between these are name brand stuff such as Sandvik. If there is a difference in longevity or cutting ability it's a marginal one that I can't find.Of course, there is the gorilla in the room to deal with. Will these cut straight? And the answer is, 'Of course not.' I'm 53 and in my entire life I've never managed to get a straight cut with a hacksaw and I'm pretty good on the tools. The only person that has achieved it is a chap called Alan Millyard on Youtube and the likes he got for it is in the thousands. It's bloody impossible to get a perfect cut with a hacksaw so I don't even try now. Just get through the steel and then deal with the consequences later. So, if the price when it becomes available is cheaper than name brand stuff then buy these. Just as good and just as inaccurate....

Great replacement for 25cm saws
Direct replacement for my Bahco 25cm hacksaw. The blades are sharp, and work well but a little bit less smooth that the flex blades I usually use. The price is much better though!
