Stories to Tell: A Memoir

Probably one of my favorites for the year 2024.....One of the most talented songwriters and performers, who has had a hand in some of the most iconic songs from the 70's and 80's. There is hardly no one he hasn't worked with, 14 number 1 songs by other artists, not to mention his own career. It seems he never really got the due coming to him for his amazing work. A top notch read, who did it the hard way......hard work!!!!!!!

I got this book for my mother for Christmas. She was asking to read this book for the longest time. I often ask how she finds the book and she really enjoys it. So if someone in your life is a fan of his, I think they will really enjoy it.

I know of Richard through my pal the record producer Kipper.The book underlines everything I thought he might be.I knew he was a phenomenal musical talent but he is whip smart.It takes a great deal of emotional intelligence to survive in this business, and he has it by the bucketload. That coupled with amazing tenacity, and self belief have propelled him into our hearts and homes for many decades. Long may that continue. A compelling read.

Great reading

80年代の洋楽ファンとして以前より気になっていた本だったのですが、お値段もそこそこすることや自分の英語力のことなどいろいろ考えて購入を迷っていました。ところがある日アマゾンさんのページをみたら、ペーパーバックが発売されており、しかも著者ご本人（！）による朗読ＣＤまであることがわかり速攻でポチってしまいました。これからＣＤを聞きながら、テキストとしてペーパーバックを読み進もうと思っています。80年代の数々の著名なヒット曲（ご自身や他のアーティストの方の曲）の話やバックコーラスで参加されたプロジェクトの話など、楽しめたらいいなあと思っています。
