A little small but they do the job well!
I use this for making miso soup and they're very good! The lids help to keep the heat in, so much so that my boyfriend was taken aback when the miso soup he had been saving was still piping hot. They're also easy to clean. I've popped these in the dishwasher multiple times and they're still as good as new. They are a little smaller than restaurant miso soup bowls, but they're also not too small. Perfect for a single serving. Durable miso soup bowls with lids that really keep in the heat! Highly recommend!

Not Just for Miso
Lovely cup. I really like the easy-to-remove lid and the shape of the bowl. Although it is meant for miso, I actually use it as a salt holder on our window sill, right next to the RO filter spigot. It is perfect for keeping Celtic salt handy so we can add a pinch to our water when filling up our sports bottles. The design is beautiful, light, and pretty. It is also very functional. If we ever needed to, we could easily use it as two larger bowls and two smaller ones for things like condiments, hummus, or small snacks.

Cute bowls! Scratch too easily!
These are nice little bowls! They're smaller than I expected, but they're still deceptively large. I was able to make tuna salad in one with one can of tuna; it fit perfectly! Unfortunately, that bowl now has a scratch in it from the fork, and I was quite gentle with the fork as well. That's the reason for four stars: these scratch quite easily. I expect these won't last long if I use a fork in them. I advise only using chopsticks with rounded ends. Wooden ones will likely be best; metal will probably scratch the plastic.

Beautiful and easy to use
Darling and useful. They are smaller than the picture , but hold decent amount of rice and keeps it warm.

Tiny
I paid Grand Total: $21.38 for two sets, They are half the size you would be handed in a restaurant. They will work for my needs, but I guess I read the description wrong and thought they were full sized. Not that I have an issue buying ridiculous things, I just like to feel that the price I paid, that I am getting something that I value. PRO: Looks exactly like the photo. CONS: 1) They are cute child sized bowls... toddler sized. The price does not fit the product. 2) I don't trust this in the dishwasher or the microwave either. as small as they are I would have to use a table tray to carry them from the kitchen to the kitchen table (45ft away), to ensure I did not spill miso soup on me or the wood floor.

Cute, authentic, 6oz bowls with lids
I gave all 5's because the ounces are listed...yes, I thought the bowls seemed small too when they arrived, but I can't deduct points because I myself chose not to read. They're fine for a small soup or rice, I'm not knocking them for that. As for the reviewers who said they can't be microwaved etc, I can read Japanese, and these absolutely can go in the microwave. It says so right on the sticky tab at the rim. They're dishwasher safe too, if I remember correctly. Anyways, not bad for seven bucks. And we in the US could also do well to eat smaller portions, so we should better embrace tinier sizes. It's our own fault we got used to jumbo everything.

Small bowls
They are small bowls but perfect for a side soup or rice bowl.

Lovely little bowl and lid / condiment dish combo. The perfect size (160 ml) for instant miso.
