I thought this book was well written, informative, and perfect for the first-gen family trying to start a new business in grass-fed beef. Great introduction to get us started. Lots of great resources referenced in the book for further guidance and understanding. I think the one-star reviews on here have ulterior motives, instead just focused on pushing a friend or relative’s book.

I am overwhelmed! I love this book. It's a storehouse of information. I know which bread of beef cattle I would like to raise now and do much more.

The information is clear, easy to understand if you are not familiar with cattle ranching (Grass Fed) I recommend this to anyone wanting to change to a grass fed operation or starting out new....This book is great!

Not a bad book for general information about raising cattle on grass. However, after several years of actually raising cattle on grass, I find myself referring to Julius Ruechel's "Grass-Fed Cattle: How to Produce and Market Natural Beef" all the time, while I have never referred to this book. Buy Ruechel's book and skip this one.

This "back to the basics" book is the future of farming. It is the best teaching book I've read lately after the Bible. Very clear, easy to understand, even for me, and all the topics discussed give internet links or contacts right there in the chapter for further study, reference or questions. I will be looking for other books by Mr. Bennett
