Don't have to use my hand, this device makes it much easier and more sanitary. You can't go wrong by purchasing this.

Not quality material. Would break if force was applied!
I returned this item immediately. It is made of plastic and very small. Made more for a small wastebasket. The handle would snap if used to push garbage down.
