KINGDOM FALL (Underworld Kings)

After reading a lot of very mediocre books lately, I was absolutely blown away with this one…Great story line, lots of drama and a brilliant twist midway through the book. I’m delighted it’s part of a series as this author has really impressed me and I am going to check out her back catalogue..I think what made me love this book so much was the heroine was speechless. (Thank you to Jen from The Book Refuge, for educating me on the correct terminology and for suggesting this book)

A bit slow burn in the start but this book managed to keep me on the edge of my seat through out.I really enjoyed it, and Ms. Zavarelli has once again shown me her wonderful talent!The end of the epilogue teases us with what I can only assume is another book in this universe. One I really also need to read!5 super stars.

A dark tale from A Zavarelli with a fair amount of suspense, twists and turns, and many surprises.This is a dark story with many layers. This novel was totally gripping, really intense and thoroughly engaging. The story felt completely fresh and original, and all the twists along the way were unexpected and definitely not things I could have predicted or saw coming.I thought the characters were really believable and relatable, and also multifaceted, and definitely damaged and a bit broken. But what was lovely, was that both their journeys were definitely ones of redemption, forgiveness and love, despite the many hardships they went through.I loved Natalia and Alessio. These two were drawn to each other, but also were holding their secrets and motives close to their hearts. I am a bit of a sucker for an anti-hero, and Alessio made a fine anti-hero. Natalia made a perfect leading lady, despite her many flaws.I found this to be an enjoyable, engaging and intense read. It was hard and equally soft in places, and was a perfect read for someone like me who enjoys mafia romance novels.Told in dual pov, this is a complete standalone story.

I loved this book so much. So many twists it was so good. It was the first book I've read in this series and it won't be my last. It was also a first from this author and i loved it , i can't wait to read more books from this author.

This is the first book I’ve managed to finish in ages. I’ve been in a real book slump and this has revved me up again.This has a J/P hero and a heroine with a back bone.It sucked me in and refused to be put down until finished. I’m excited that it will continue as part of a new series with each book about characters we will come to know and love along the way.The Revenge is sweet and gruesome, the spiciness is RED HOT and Nino the child in the story is very believable, very sweet and acts his age, a welcome change.What are you waiting for.. take a chance and dive in, you won’t regret it.

I think this is the best book so far by this author. I loved it. Natalia was a really strong character who survived against all the odds & got what she wanted in the end. It was great to follow Alessio as he struggled against his demons & came out the other side. Well worth reading in my view.Is there going to be a follow up book for Angelo? I hope so.
