Great Gouache
Impressed with the quality of these paints. I did not have issues with the lids. All opened easily and the gouache is very thick so it did not leak or make a mess. There is a color chart showing the opacity, so you know that some colors are half opaque and can plan accordingly. It's a good selection of colors and the package can be used for storage if needed. Very pleased with these. I'll try to upload some of the art I create with this later.

Poorly packaged containers result in poor quality paint.
We ordered this set only to find that several of the paints were completely dried out. We couldn’t even open a few of the paints no matter what we did, so we requested a replacement and fortunately we got all of the containers open, but again, some of the paint was dry and the brown had some disgusting specs of something that looks like cigarette ash in it. We found that the containers had paint on the sides of the threads which is what made it so hard to open, and the containers weren’t all closed which resulted in the dryness. After attempting twice to get one good set and not even being able to cobble together a complete set between the two boxes we ordered, we felt it necessary to leave this review to warn others of the poor quality control and recommend you look elsewhere.

Amazing paint and good for beginners
The colors and the pigments are beautiful and the paint goes on paper really nicely and is really easy to mix, so you can make new colors and pretty gradients

Unacceptable Product, I want my money back.
I have two sets of these paints, a total of 18 pots. I have been unable to open five of the pots at all. Others were difficult to open and once opened, the paint inside was totally dry. With difficulty, I was able to cut off chunks of paint and soaked them in water to somehow make them usable. Not the relaxing painting experience I had in mind. I have reviewed this product, before, expecting some response from the seller, but got none. I believe it is incumbent on Amazon to discontinued selling this product. There have been several other reviews with the same complaint.

Great idea, bad implementation
This is quite a nice gouache, with the right consistency, and it paints rather well. But I have to remove stars because the product is not well thought out.The idea of putting gouache in jars is the correct one. It's more convenient than tubes, and they don't dry out as this company's other, jelly cup product. It's in fact what poster color has been doing for the last 30-40 years. The problem is that their implementation is lackluster. In detail:1. When you'd unscrew the jar, there should have been a one-time peel-off paper or plastic. Because they don't have that, the paint has stack to the cap, and when you open the jar, the paint goes everywhere, making a huge mess! I had to waste a lot of paint cleaning things up, and around the jar.2. Because the paint also goes to the actual screw around the jar, if you don't clean it up, and you just close the cap back, it gets glued, and makes it impossible to open that jar back. In fact, some of the jars were very, very difficult to open (I had to use a tool) the very first time. The jar also is very "short", so there is almost no "body" to securely grab it to try to open the jar. These jars needed to have a smaller mouth, and be taller.3. The colors are too few for gouache. You need 12 colors to be able to represent the natural world with opaque paint: 3 warm primaries, 3 cold primaries, the 3 secondaries, burnt umber, black, and white. This is also well known among oil painters, these colors are their absolute minimum. Even if you could mix a lot of colors with just 3 primaries, you can't mix everything, unless you have the 12 colors mentioned above. This set should have been a set of 12 of 20ml each, instead of 9 of 30ml each (with a properly designed jar, as described above).4. Burnt Umber is made out of four pigments which was a bad technical decision. Burnt Umber is supposed to be only Pbr7, it's a classic pigment.

Some dried up
Unfortunately some of the colors were dried up. The ones that weren’t are great!

the cap make me crazy
Bought it for my little girl drawing class, but the design is so bad, we are struggling to open it when we try to used it every time.
