This laptop fan works just okay, for the price paid. Nothing special. I would've thought that by having 4 fans, this item would push more air, but running off of a single USB connection, you shouldn't expect much. This unit has 2 USB ports: 1 dedicated to powering the unit and 1 USB port to attach a peripheral. The design is interesting enough, but with only a 15.6" HP Beats Edition laptop, the size of this unit only has about 1/2" on either side of the computer's keyboard. I don't know how good it would be for cooling a 17" laptop. I am not a super user so this unit doesn't need to work hard at cooling my laptop. For it's purpose, it's doing what it should be. The lights imbedded in the unit are just for show, so if you're into having ground effects on the bottom of your Honda Civic, this unit is the perfect compliment for you. Being a Prime member and this being a Prime retail item, the item still took a solid week to reach New Jersey with "2 day shipping".
