The pump has a great pressure i did not expect so much from it ... but it gets hot fast..

Good BLDC motor and pump, but worst power cable.
The media could not be loaded. The pump 'MOTOR' is a good one and doesn't have any noise when it is working. Should you buy it? NO in general. (If you can solder a new cable replacing the existing power cable by breaking the hermetic seal, then yes)When it 'works', it will have good flow rate. I was using it for watering the plants on the terrace. The BLDC motor does get hot if operated above water(it is a submersible pump so don't do that. Make sure enough water is there in the tank at all times), but will dissipate all heat in to water and will work without any issues of getting heated up when submersed in the water. What it is used for here: As drip irrigation system for terrace garden----------------------------------------------------------------Watch the video. The terrace garden has around 50 plants. So I used drip irrigation for majority of them. The water in bucket is pumped by the BLDC pump. The pump is controlled by an ESP8266 micro controller. It will turn on at morning, noon and evening. The ESP can be controlled by phone also from anywhere.About the motor:-----------------------There are around 50 drip irrigation nozzles. It needs some high pressure for pushing water through the nozzles. The motor is advised to be of 8 Watts, 12 V BLDC motor, but it can work at higher wattage also.Since I am using it on a high pressure drip irrigation, it consumes around 1.95 A at 12 V... It works without any issues even at that high load. (works at around 24 Watts.... Impressive)The motor works even at that high load without any issues. Any heat generated is dissipated by the surrounding water. So it is indeed a high quality motor at affordable rates.Depending on the load(how much pressure it needs to push the water) it will take current accordingly. In my case, I measured 12 V at 1.8 to 1.95 A....The BLDC motor is submersible one. So it is obviously self priming. No need to fill any pipe with water as priming. It is already surrounded by water.Being an impeller pump and submersible it doesn't need priming. Most diaphragm pumps needs priming. So this submersible pump is a good one for projects where priming is difficult. It is better to use a water filter at the inlet(see the photo) to prevent entry of any materials in to the pump. Being a BLDC pump, the magnetic rotor is exposed to the water. It is possible to clog it with foreign materials. So better install a water filter at the inlet like I have done.-------------------------------If the motor is so good then why am I giving such low ratings for this product?------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------The actual pump is impressive one. Quite affordable one too. But the Achilles heal of this pump is the cable that is coming out of it.The cable that is coming out of the motor for supplying power is the worst cable I have seen in my life. It will easily break in few days. the wires in the cable has inferior quality conductors and have very few strands. It will break 'inside the cable' in few days. Then you have to guess where it got broken inside the cable. In my case it broke multiple times over the course of a week.Today it broke from inside of the hermetic sealed part, so had to remove all the sealant, replace the cable, solder new one to the BLDC controller board inside the motor. The sealant is fairly hard to remove without damaging the PCB inside. In short, the replacement of the power cable is not a user friendly job. So might be impossible for most of the consumers lacking the equipments.------How I changed the cable--------(not using costly materials)-------------------------------------------I had to remove the sealant. Being a BLDC motor, the PCB controller is inside the casing. Remove the sealant material at the back carefully, Clean the PCB with isopropyl alcohol. Solder a high quality cable to the PCB(see the photo). Now we need to waterproof it back again. You can use silicone/epoxy materials for this. To reduce the cost, I used the Araldite Klear epoxy glue as the sealant. It is transparent and quite good in water proofing things.Make sure that you don't pour glue directly on the PCB. Use a polymer separator over the PCB and then pour glue over that. Not directly over PCB. Remember the PCB has drivers that will radiate heat. So using things that will melt on to the PCB is not advised. I used a thermal pad which is thermally conductive as well as insulating. Then poured the glue over that. After proper hardening, I used plastic sheets to cover the exposed back of the motor, and then wrapped it in electrical insulation tape. Now it is water proof.---------------------------------------------Verdict:------------I have never seen such inferior quality of stranded wires in my life. Since the pump is hermetically sealed on the terminal side, we can't simply replace the cable without breaking the seal(a shellac like material). The cable that is provided for power supply is of worst quality that the pump will cease working sometime. If you can break up the seal, remove the adhesive sealant material and replace the wire by soldering a better cable and seal it back with a sealant, then it will work. Overall it is a headache to a normal consumer. They should've replaced the inferior power cable with a good quality one.In brevity: Don't buy this product if you can't replace the cable by removing the sealant adhesive. To the sellers: Please change the power cable with a better one if you are selling it as a hermetically sealed product. The motor is a good one. but the cable is inferior. The motor is an impressive one though. It is quite resilient to work at 24 Watts (12 V, 1.95 A) even though it is cited as of 8 W.====================
