We got a stone chip on front curved window of caravan. It cracked the window. The cost of replacing was £5,500. Thankfully it was insured.Thought it a good idea to buy one of these to protect it from any more chips. Easy to fit and remove.

I bought this for my 8ft wide caravan three years ago and it fits width wise ok. My criticism of this cover is that it doesn’t fit all the way to the bottom around the A frame. Within a short period of time the securing strap that goes underneath the draw bar a frame snapped. Not the end of the world but not the best start. The other issue that I had was that the securing straps to the sides are long and if like me you do not secure them on my first journey they flap against the caravan body and leave black marks that are extremely difficult to remove. Once I had learnt this I would tie them on themselves to stop this happening. The quality of the material has been good but after three years the cover has ripped beside one of the straps as the material has degraded and lost it’s strength. This was probably my fault as I have had the cover fitted constantly for the three years even when not towing. I understand now that this should only have been fitted when towing. Conclusion is that it is of reasonable quality for the price that you pay, be careful with the straps on the caravan bodywork and it’s okay if you are on a budget. I am now going to spend the extra money and replace this with a custom made one.
