Good colourant.
Been using Everbuild Mortar tone in Black and Red for a long time now, use it sparingly till you get used to how much you will need.I find it easier if your mixing your mortar by hand, to add the colour / tone before you add your water, you get a more combined mix this way. But the down side is you do not get the true colour coming through until you add the water, and your always tempted to add just a bit more.

Need more than recommend but does the job
I used scales to gauge for mix and had double the recommended amount to achieve a dark grey colour with a 4-1 mix then 500g dye if you need it black then use a hole tub per mix

Great for painting on stonework
Bought this product to mix with cement dust and paint onto an old birdbath that I had repaired. Applying it like a thick gloopy paint, it covered well and although very black, it dried to a lovely dark grey colour, which was just what I wanted. And some months later it still looks good.

Great product for any mortar or grouting projects.
Excellent mortar dye but use sparingly for great results. I used three table spoons mixed with 5kg of ready mixed powder mortar. I have used everbuild dyes on other projects great result every time.

Works as decribed ... and can be used as a brick dye to boot
Works really well to rebuild broken brickwork instead of having to chop out and replace the brick. The colour can be affected as stated on instructions to a small degree but have found that the best thing to do is use it as a brick dye mixed in water to make the bricks around the repair look similar and therefore blends the repaired bricks into the rest of the area and at the same tame gives the other bricks a nice colour brightening so all in all a useful product.
