Great Way to Assist The Arthritic Dog
We purchased this to keep with us as we walk the trails on our hikes. Our 8 year old Golden Retriever is developing arthritis and sometimes the pain becomes too much to continue even at a much reduced pace. When that happens we slip on the Finer Dog lift and carry her out a few yards at a time. She also does not seem to mind the strap around her mid section...she may even enjoy the ride. In any case, it performs well and saves us from a full carry-out as she weighs about 75 pounds.

Precariously dangling backside
The blue band certainly secures nicely around my Mastiff/Plott Hound's abdomen well enough. The issue comes with the non-adjustable length of the handles, and how very long they are. When I lift his backside to climb the steps, the poor thing is, despite my efforts, swinging and teetering back and forth from his backside, while frantically trying to claw his way forward. If I weren't trying to help him up the stairs, it would be very comical to watch. He does, however, have an amusing expression of "Aw gawd, oh crud, oh, crud, Lawd help meh!!" expression on his face as he's trying to make it forward.

What I didn't like about this is that the straps were not removable
What I didn't like about this is that the straps were not removable, or adjustable. My dog mainly had a hard time getting up, and I couldn't just leave it on while while she was roaming free in the house because she would get her legs tangled in the straps. When I left her with my mom, who can't bend down to the ground, she had no way of getting it on my sweet baby and had to let her sit there until I got back home to get her up; I felt horrible!!! This product is good for someone who is able to take it on and off readily, but not for a person who has trouble bending down.

our dog who is 150 pounds of dead weight while recovering from torn ACL and removal of miniiscus could not be comfortably managed. We had to leave her in the garage because we could not get her up the steps to the house. As she got better it helped a great deal with the steps.

Quality does not equal price
Works okay. But cheaply made. Probablywont last. Way too expensive for the money. I'm going to pets Mart!

Good, well designed product.
Excellent product to help an older dog w/hip issues get off a slippery floor. It will also help with jumping into the hatch of my car.
