Bush Furniture Somerset 72W Desk Hutch in Storm Gray, Attachment with Shelves and Cabinets for Home Office

Very well-made/sturdy piece that adds lots of extra storage and functionality. It really transformed the look and feel of my home office. I love it. It was packaged well and I had no difficulty with assembly.

I bought the matching L-form desk from Best Buy, but they weren't able to provide the hutch so I ordered from Amazon. Both desk and hutch are very good quality (for DIY laminate construction). Arrived in timely fashion in great shape with all parts present and accounted for. Instruction were quite above average, with unambiguous directions, clear drawings, and all parts clearly labelled. They're also very heavy. Some hints: 1: If you don't have one get an inexpensive cordless power screwdriver. 2: You'll need a LOT of space, 10' x 12' min. 3: Compare a hand count with the one provided so you'll know you have them all and know that you missed something if there are any left over. 4: Read all the instructions carefully before beginning, it'll save you time and grief later and you may well decide to change the order somewhat. 5: Set aside several hours for assembly 6: Unless you're very strong and big you're going to need help putting it on the desk. I guess that's it. Some hours of work but well worth it and well worth the price.

Panel A was cut short by about 1/2in preventing complete assembly. Panels A and D have severe warping out of the box that prevented the side doors from closing completely. The material that Bush uses on these is not structurally sound. If you can get it properly assembled, do no place any weight on the Hutch or you will get bowing/warping in the middle. I tested this with a 2lbs books on the middle shelf and bowing occurred to the extent that the doors were prevented from closing and opening. I would not recommend Bush Furniture until they can create stronger material to fit their price range. It was not worth the cost.

I love the bush furniture series. I have buying components piece by piece due to price but it is great quality and easy to assemble.
