Very pleased with heater, set at 23 degrees and strip thermometer is showing 22/24 so it's working spot on.Strap is good fit for 25l beer fermenter and they say it fits 2 demijohns or twice round a single.Minor criticism that the metal clip to hold belt tight is rather fiddly, a larger cop would be nice. The clip does work though.

Item arrived on time and as decribed. This heat belt is easy to use and provides basic temperature control for your brewing vessel. It looks reasonably well made but I have no way of predicting how long it will last. The heat output of the belt can be varied by using the control knob and you can also rise or lower the belt around the vessel to alter brewing temperature. However, as there is no closed loop temperature controller, once you have set the device up, there is no compensation for big changes in ambient temperature (eg in winter when house heating may be on during the day and off at night). For better control, the belt could easily be combined with a separate temperature controller c/w temperature sensor.

works well, i have it wrapped around my kombucha jar. it was easy to get the correct temperature with the thermostat. the lead is ok, just about long enough to be useful.

This seems well-made, is easy to use and does a good job maintaining temperature. I have a fermentation chamber for beer so have only used this with wine, but I am very happy with its performance.

Brilliantly useful to maintain heat while brewing

The temperature switch only turns on at the third dot and cannot go lower. This means that once my Kombucha reaches ideal warmth I cannot maintain a lower temperature for fermenting. It is too hot.

Not the easiest to get setup and on the brewing vessel but it made all the difference to temperature control and the results were great. No more failed brews.
