I was a bit disappointed as the brolly turned inside out the first time I used it in the wind not even strong wind, the brolly feels heavy & looks good, the opening & closing function is good.

Not the strongest, a light wind blew it inside out, but ok for mild weather

Unfortunately this item broke the first time l used it and does not now unfurl, it cannot be clicked into staying open and is now useless. It let me down in the rain on a walking holiday. Not pleased at all. l am outside the return window and l cant see how to get in touch with the vendor either

The media could not be loaded.  My other automatic opening umbrellas only open but they don't close automatically. This one does both. With a push of the button and it smartly opens and provides an instant large canopy to protect from rain. A further push of the button on the handle and the canopy snaps back closed, but not fully retracted down the handle.At first, I thought, shame it does not retract all the way to the retracted position. Later I realised this is a feature ... You see when the canopy is wet, you want a smart closure to flick off the residue rainwater, but you don't want it to also shoot back towards your hand, carrying water with it. The way this works allows the water to be shed and still gives you the ability to shake and further residue off before pushing the brolly down to its fully closed position.All very clever and effective automatic umbrella, and for £12 it's very good value for money. Well built, strong, and gives a large canopy to keep off the rain, plus it stores easily in a bag or glove box.

The first thing I noticed was that it's quite heavy compared to my old compact umbrella, and I'm not sure it would slip into a lot of handbags. However, when unfurled it has a lot larger coverage than most umbrellas of this type. The button to open has quite a violent reaction...if you were getting mugged it would give a nice punch in the midriff to your assailant :)...but closing the umbrella with the same button works really well, and all you have to do, to fully fold up, is slide the pole down and click into place.I can't, as yet, comment on the windproof qualities, but the construction with strong struts and a sort of double angled ring, does look like the wind would struggle to turn it inside out.So in conclusion: strong, sturdy, great coverage, just a little heavy. Price is about right for the nice quality.

The media could not be loaded.  This is a great umbrella, it appears to be well made and of good quality. The open and close button is brilliant (see video) you need quite a bit of pressure to fully close it but press top and handle down together using both hands and it’s fine.It is a little on the heavy side for its size so although compact I think because of the weight I’m not sure I’d put it in a handbag. But it’ll be great to keep in the car for when needed. Good price for this quality and opening/closing action.

The media could not be loaded.  Nice quality umbrella - easy to ping open with one push of the button, can push the same button to collapse the umbrella but you do have to use both hands to push the pole section back down. Nice thick fabric, great for larger handbags, I do have smaller compact umbrellas than this so you might want to double check this is going to fit in your handbag, buy not an issue if you have a large handbag. Would recommend - great for both male and females

I got this in the hope that it would be suitable to put in my work bag but it’s too big and fairly heavy.The auto opening works fine, not too snappy, it’s very smooth.The auto close is not so good, I had to press the button a couple of times for it to respond and it just loosens the umbrella, not fully close it.It seems sturdy enough, yet to test it in the wind so don’t know how it will hold up.Comes with a matching sleeve to store it in.Hope you found my review helpful
