Very mild heat, unless you're eating it by the teaspoonful. The flavours are amazing. Well worth it, and I'm not a fan of hot n' spicy. But I love this one.

I doubt it. This is actually more like a sauce that has spices added. But I'd bet that it would make an awesome dipping sauce for samosas. It's also great on fish and all sorts of sandwiches.

not only was the cap open, but there’s no expiration date and it was disgusting and smelly

I suppose that’ll depend on the temperature of your house. The general rule of thumb would be similar to jams and jellies. In the warmer climate, refrigerate.
