A little disappointed
It really isn't worth the money but has a few good points in the book. There's some humor and I enjoyed reading but certainly expected a little more. It's a good conversation piece though.

Clever and informative!!
This book is a MUST HAVE for every household! It's the perfect solution for someone who needs a little guidance regarding a symptom before contacting the doctor without having to go to Google for the answers. So often I have gone down a rabbit hole on the internet (as most of us probably have) and let's be honest, it never ends well! I love how relatable and funny the book is. It feels as if I'm sitting around my kitchen table having a beer with these doctors as they hilariously explain that (most of the time) I should "take a chill pill". I'd highly recommend it!

Essential Book!
This should be on the bookshelf or coffee table of every person over age 50. So many common sense ideas, written in a very humorous and informational way

Pretty light overview but useful reference
What I like most about this book is how excellent a reference is. It's organized well, and cross-referenced where necessary. There's also an index you can use if you need to find a specific set of symptoms. The symptoms are organized by level of severity: chill pill, see a doctor, go to the ER. By the end of the book, you'll get a good feel for what sort of symptoms are just a normal part of your body's operation, what symptoms might be a sign something's amiss, and what symptoms should send you rushing to the ER (I was actually surprised by how few "ER NOW" signs there are--but they're all very serious). Some parts of the book were a little repetitive and I would have liked to see a bit more depth. That said, it's not hard to scan through the book, then do a little searching online for more information if you feel the need for it.This book honestly helped calm some of my health anxiety. Very happy that I bought it.

very handy and well-written guide to symptoms
Covers dozens of different symptoms and provides clues to the likely cause and how soon you need to see a doctor (ranging from not at all to immediately). Things like sore throat, fatigue, cough, diarrhea, swollen legs, etc. Very easy-to-understand language. Often pretty funny too. Doesn’t try to scare you unnecessarily which I appreciated the most since I’m giving it as a gift to some worrier friends. Much better than trying to get a straight answer on the internet, where I feel like the answer is always cancer or something horrible like that.
