Foggier than 1800's London in film noir
They are stylish and very comfortable to wear, but have serious design flaws. The first and most obvious flaw is that there is no ventilation. None. Nada. As a result, these glasses can fog up very, very badly. I play tennis, and on a cool night or humid day, even after applying an expensive anti-fog treatment, condensation can build up every few minutes, rendering my prescription Rec-Specs completely useless. Sometimes they fog up so badly I literally have to play without them, and instead wear my regular street glasses. When I go biking at night, I often find myself taking the Rec-Specs off at every stop to air them out and get rid of the fog before continuing on.Another design flaw is that the glasses fit so closely your eyes, your eyelashes can make contact with the lenses, smudging the condensation. If Liberty simply offered an alternative nose bridge piece with a deeper offset, I think it might solve these problems. I wrote to them a couple years ago and inquired about it, but they never replied. If you play sports in a climate-controlled indoor environment and play at a very low level of physical activity (in other words, you never break a sweat) then this product might work for you. Otherwise I would not recommend these Rec-Specs to anyone.
