My candy thermometor broke so I was going to get a new one, however, I still had a small metal electric one and another one that actually goes into the oven. It was more cost effective to buy this holder and it works just as good as one of those big glass candy thermometors. All you have to know is the temperature stages in candy/fudge cooking which you can get online.

Holds a candy thermometer in place much better than the holder the thermometer came with. Wife uses it at work (professional patissier) and said it comfortably fits over the lip of most pots.

I missed that it’s only the clip. I’m sure it works well but without the thermometer I thought it was priced high.

I used this to hold my metal probe candy thermometer in place while I made toffee. Worked well. It holds the thermometer in place and is easy to clean. The thermometer stayed in the holder unless I really bumped it while stirring, which is to be expected.

I needed a clip to hold a 12” thermometer on a small pot. Does the job.
