Just installed these stair treads and they are just what I was looking for. I bought them to cushion the sounds the very creaky stairs make when stepped on and also because my dog has problems coming down the bare wood stairs and slides and trips almost every time.I would recommend placing carpet tape under the treads as I am not sure the adhesive will be strong enough to keep them in place especially in high traffic areas.As for the packaging, there was nothing covering the adhesive side apart from the plastic wrap each tread was covered in. Installing was a breeze and it come with well detailed instructions. My stairs are approximately 9.75 inches deep and the treads fit very well. It feels way nicer stepping on this than bare cold wood floors although I thought they would be a little bit thicker. I wasn't sure what color to go with but I decided on the brownstone and I would say the representation of the colors in my screen was pretty accurate. It goes well with the carpeting in my basement.

Modern Flare and Long Wear
The people who say, 'It's not what I expected...or it's good enough for the dog...don't realize that this shaggy berber is the NEW carpet. I just bought a NEW home with this long fiber and it is fantastic. It feels great, it shows spills and stains (i.e., dog pee), and holds up to heavy traffic. I purchased the same color as my home, because my Yorkie was unwilling to go up or down the wooden stairs...and I LOVE IT. Stays put, easy to install, I would recommend to anyone.

Works really well
These work really well - we have a two year old and wanted something to cushion our hardwood stairs in case he fell. It is best to wait a day or two for the adhesive to acclimate to your home's temperature so that it sticks correctly

Love them!
I am very, very happy with these. The color was exactly what I was looking for. They are thick which is a great cushion fore bare feet. My baby granddaughter crawls up these and they provide comfort for her knees and keeps her from slipping on my hardwood steps. Love them!

Great for steap wood stairs and they do stick so they're not dangerous.
Should have bought these years ago. They're actually safe because they really do adhere. Just measure carefully to center them. My dog fels less scared coming down the stores that I've stumbled down before.

Protect wood steps
Bought these to cover and protect wood steps in my RV. Easy installation. The back has a sticky surface so no tape was needed. Rounded bull nose fit the 1/2” thick step nicely

Easy to install
Easy to install. Great for my dogs. They can now run up and down the stairs without sliding down the stairs !!! Holding up nice. No wear and tear spots. Would recommend this product to friends. Love the color - doesn't show dirt..
