Awesome
Like the others said it is a very small compartment. But did a wonderful job. My stuff was undetected.

Handle wasn’t as deep as I thought.
The handle of umbrella would be ideal for small earrings or wedding rings. But I was really looking for something to stash my travel money in. Not ideal for me, but I didn’t return it. I’ll gift it to a friend.

Small but great
Great diversion safe! No one would ever guess. The safe area is very small though, not even large enough for folded dollars. But great for small valuables.

half the space you expect.
The umbrella is what I expected and is fully functional. The space in the handle, I feel is misrepresented in the add. I was expecting twice as much storage space. There is a 2 in x 1 inch storage in the handle.

Does NOT hide anything- the bottom screw top is VERY visible to even a child.
Works for an umbrella, and if you just want something to store your extra stuff in- smokes or whatnot. DO NOT buy if you want to hide money etc. in it- any child can open the bottom and get your your stuff. The twist bottom is VERY evident- NO attempt was made by the manufacturer to hide the part that you twist on. I give it a 2 star rating, but probably should go lower because its not even a quality umbrella- but it is useable for that purpose. You have to open it with your hands- the umbrella will not open on its own. EACH of the metal things have to be bent open by hand to get the umbrella to open all the way. They will stay bent if you simply open it. I have not tested it in the rain or wind yet. I assume any little wind will curl it back.
