Safariland 774 Rifle Magazine Pouch

Holds both m2 and m3 pmags tightly. Screw tension can be adjusted tight or loose. Easy to snap on and off belt. This version is also less expensive than most of this type. You can stack 2 together using the hardware from one of them. This may make them a little wobbly on your belt, but still works well as a double stack. I found they stay attached as you work through various rifle shooting positions. The ability to easily grab and load and then easily re-insert outweighs many of the disadvantages. If I were going into a combat situation I would not use these. Obviously. But for daily practice these can’t be beat.

Huge upgrade over nylon pouches for someone just getting into buying quality gear. If your new to this type of rigid mag holders, make sure you buy the product with the belt attachment system, not just the plain mag holder. I prefer the tek-lok attachment over the safariland belt clip, but it is very sturdy once you place it on your belt. When mounted on a belt at 9 or 8 o’clock, taking a magazine out is really easy, slipping one back in while not looking is a little more of a challenge.

Why is the belt clip so wide????

I use this pouch during 3 Gun competitions and it holds both Mil-spec and MagPul mags in place during all the running around. The release is smooth, adjustable and consistent. Can be mounted in two directions for both right and left handers. I have mine mounted with the SL ELS system (sold separately) to a SL ELS belt which is awesome because you can reconfigure for different stages in a matter of seconds.

Love the holster hate the belt clips.

Secured tightly on my duty belt and so far has been dependable and sturdy. No complaints.
