Much easier than the wire!
I had a cattle ranch and every year I had to separate my bulls from the cows. I used wire that was specifically made for electric fence and it worked fine, but was a LOT more of a challenge to run around the bull paddock. This stuff is significantly easier because it has no "muscle memory"; you can manipulate it a lot easier and don't have to worry about kinks. Installation was at least 3 times faster and just as effective. I would NEVER use the wire again.

Works on humans too
This wire will not stand up to a 1,200 pound horse running through it while the power is on. Then again, no wire will stand up to a horse in blind panic mode. It is, however, easily re attached and still holds the current well. It's easy to handle and does not tangle easily when unspooled.The wire will make a great addition to an actual fence and provide extra security against possible predators. (We live in the bush). If my dog won't touch it twice, I'm pretty sure a wolf or coyote won't either.The only issue I found was that about halfway into the spool, it looks like two sections were kind of fused together and the actual metal wire was broken off and not connected. Fortunately a bit of electrical tape took care of that.Overall, for the price, it's worth it.UPDATE: This has been the main pasture fencing system for a year. It has held up very well to harsh winter conditions. The pasture will be extended and this wire will be used.

Top notch for my horses.
I needed some wire for a 250 feet area for my two horses to eat some grass at my neighbors’ field without any interference with his other animals.I could no believe how much line is in one single spool. Too much for my needs. Great product and works excellent with by solar fence device.

Works great and easy to put up.
This stuff works great. It’s incredibly easy to put up around your field or yard. And if you have a hard headed animal your trying to keep in or out of something. This stuff pack a hard punch when it shocks. It definitely should take many times of them getting into it to figure it out
