Still hanging on after 10 months
I used this on the outside of back sliding door, so that it overlaps the gap to the dog door. Installed in Oct 22 and it's still hanging in there, no signs of getting brittle or coming off. I cleaned the aluminum with alcohol and warmed the surface with a hair dryer prior to application. Its doing a good job blocking the breeze that used to come through with just the adhesive foam material that came with the dog door.

Saving on the electricity bill
I have an app that i can monitor my electricity usage everyday. Ever since i applied this tape, the amount of my electricity usage got reduced. And the tape make my house nicer and neat by hiding the gaps between doors and door frames. It was worth investing getting this tape.

First time ever applying weather sealant myself - so easy and effective!
I wanted to seal my drafty aluminum apartment windows, which were making it cold in my living room and stressing the plants I had been keeping on the window sills. I had never done anything like that before, and everyone I asked about it locally was as clueless as me as to what to do. Because of COVID, I didn't want to ask the maintenance staff to come in and do it, as that didn't seem like a high-enough emergency/priority to risk getting COVID (many residents in my senior complex have had it, so more exposure for the maintenance staff). So I did as much research as I could to understand the process, how to measure, and what kind to get for the windows, and that led me eventually to this product. I bought enough for the double window in my living room and my door. After watching some how-to videos on YouTube, I finally got the courage to start cutting and applying it. I was shocked and laughing at myself at how quick and easy it was. Oh my. What was I feeling so intimidated about before? It's not rocket science LOL.After applying it, I could not believe the difference it made. Thankfully, it's already significantly quiet where I live in terms of "annoyance noises" - e. g., no loud music, relentless barking, or loud talking. But even so, there's still some ambient noise coming through the windows and hallway. After applying the sealant, the hallway (outside my door) noise is now just a faint muffle (before I could clearly hear what people were saying, even if they were just speaking in a normal voice), and the ambient noise outside my window cannot be heard at all.And equally important is the change in my room environment. I'm able to maintain a comfortable 73-degree temperature with the AC going on much less often than before. I also had been using three humidifiers to raise the humidity for my plants. Prior to getting the humidifiers, my average humidity ranged from 22 to low 30s in the winter and low 20s in the warmer weather (with the AC on). After getting the humidifiers and BEFORE applying the sealant, I struggled to get the humidity into the high 30s in the living room with THREE 2.2-liter humidifiers in that area. AFTER applying the sealant, I can easily get up to 55" and have been able to reduce the total run time of the humidifiers so that I can maintain my desired goal of 40-45.I have had the sealant on long enough now to see a reduction in my total kilowatt usage per month compared to the same time period and temperature years before. So I would say the sealant has paid for itself in utility savings and ambient comfort (temperature-wise and noise-wise).I should note that the windows and door already had sealant in place, but it was very thin and is likely about 15 years old (when this apartment was first built). I just applied this sealant right on top of the old stuff without ripping it off because it was a perfect fit to give a tight seal.I plan to move at some point hopefully in the near future to a more pedestrian-friendly location, and the apartments where I am on the waiting list are known for being "older, drafty" apartments with increased utility costs in the winter. You can bet I'll be coming back here to order more of this stuff as soon as I'm able to get into the "new" (to me) place, to cut down on those drafts and the utility bill!I'm a happy camper. :)

Worked
Seems like good adhesive. I put some staples in it but I don't think I needed to.

This Product is a winner
I recently had a slider door installed in the Master Bedroom to keep the large shower room warm in winter. When needing a board to hang the door to line the metal track bolts with the wood framing studs it normally causes the door come out 2 inches deleting any chance of sealing in warmth in winter, Enter this product it is easy to cut, the adhesion is excellent it even gives you a few chances to remove a small section and re align it. Problem solved, it provides a nice seal on both sides of the slider as needed.
