Swamp People: Season 2
S**R
Swamp People - The greatest show on TV!
Swamp People is a fun exciting show about the way of life that cajun swampers have been living for hundreds of years. The swampers are down to earth good people, the show is very clean and family friendly (any accidental foul language is beeped out, and there is NO nudity), and it is an all around great watch that promotes living off the land, family values, and good community values (IE you help your neighbors). Season 2 is every bit as good as season 1 and the show keeps your attention as it shows glimpses of lives of the various stars. The Landry family in particular are just plane good people with STRONG family ties as Troy (the father) promotes and pushes his boys to be even better than he is. The introduction of the Guist brothers gives a look at swampers hunting and fishing for other game during the alligator season as well as some glimpses into the more mundane parts of a swampers life. The introduction of RJ and Jay Paul Molinere adds another great father son team who encourage and push each other to be better every episode. If the show has ANY downside it is the use of cut stock footage off and on as the swampers aim rifles, etc. However season 2 was MUCH less obvious about the cuts back and forth. In season 1 the change in rifles was OBVIOUS as they had one rifle in one shot, a different rifle in the cut, then back to the original gun in the next part of the scene. All in all a great watch, that doesn't get old watching it over and over. I highly suggest Season 1 AND 2, and I am looking forward to season 3 release on DVD.

Shoot 'em! Shoot 'em!
I purchased both Season 1 & Season 2 of Swamp People. This series is one of those guilty pleasures that you enjoy watching (but may not always admit to!) My whole family is now hooked on Swamp People. The distinctive yell of, "Shoot 'em! Shoot 'em!" rings through my house whenever an episode is played. (Even my Dad gets into yelling!) Each of the Swampers has a very distinct personality and watching how the season progresses is entertaining. Who would've thought hunting alligators would be so interesting? The historical information about gator hunting & the cajun and swamp culture is well done. The History channel did a great job of showing the historical, cultural and economics aspects of life in the Swamp. I would recommend the series to anyone who likes hunting/fishing shows and quick-paced action. Just one episode & you'll be hooked!

i absolutely love this reality show
i absolutely love this reality show. it had me at season one, episode one! not only are the personalities awesome, but you learn a heck of a lot about the life these men and women live in the bayou. there is also a great story of how these hunters got where they are today, and through generations of their families that showed them how to hunt. its not all gore and killing but, learning why and how this is important to keep the swamps balanced. i own all the seasons and look forward to all the new and up coming seasons as well!

Choot Em Lizbeth!!
I was born and raised a Yankee but now reside in the southern midwest....why do I love this show so much?? I have no Earthly idea! But I cannot get enough of my Louisiana gator hunters. And yes, I bought alligator meat and cooked it up for my family and we all sat around eating it and talking about how redneck it made us. I am telling you this show is good wholesome fun and you even learn something! My name is Kelly and I am a Swamp Person. Welcome Kelly. LMAOI recommend you get Season 1 for $10 and start from the beginning. Love them so!

Great Series!
These are terrific. My roots go back to the Acadians and it's really fun to watch and listen to these guys. Reminds me of my childhood--except we never hunted alligators! Will be ordering Season 3 soon.

Love it for the most part
I do not care for RJ & Jay Paul, although the only shot I saw Jay Paul miss (that could've been due to clever editing, who really knnows) was yards away in open water. I'm also not impressed with Terral, except for when he noodled in gator infested water, but if you're going to dumb you gotta be tough.
