Gibraltar SC-GCRMC Chrome Multi Clamp

well made just about as good as my pdp ones i recommend these are way cheaper and every bit as good as those major players in the bizz.

This has brilliantly solved a problem with my Drum Traps, as the original clamps could not withstand the pressure of the screws and ended up opening. These Gibraltar clamps are easy to install, fully adaptable and most importantly are quite resistant. I will continue trying to see how they work on the road using them.

Packaged well with bubble wrap inside cardboard box - First impression before installing - Very strong and large diameter outer tube, sturdy construction. The Negative: Picked up the rack clamp and was immediately concerned with its ultra-lightweight construction. Appears to be "diecast" from a very lightweight metal. Could be aluminum which would normally be great, but the rack clamp wall thickness is so thin, if I were still breaking down and setting up my kit for a living, I would be very concerned for its longevity. I believe the clamp likely to last many years in a stationary location. One reviewer left a rather brief rant about cracking the clamp when tightening it, and those words were circling in my head every time I tightened that clamp down. I could EASILY see breaking the clamp if you really put some heavy torque on the wingnut when clamping it tight. Thats all of the negativity. Despite the lightweight construction rack clamp, once all of the clamps were cinched down, with a 6 1/2 x 14 snare it was shockingly sturdy. Very little bounce. A reviewer of DW's version of this product noted that it felt sturdy enough to use his snare as a chair. There is no way a person would be able to sit on the snare using this Gibraltar version, the rack clamp would snap for sure. But this isn't a chair, and I detect very little drum bounce or wobble while actually playing, even when slapping cross-stick. Adjustments are unlimited as far as I can tell. Very clever swivel ball with a delightfully oversized wingnut. I have been able to position my snare exactly where I wanted for the first time in a lifetime of playing. What an absolute treat to be able to place the double bass remote kick pedal and high-hat to the right a few inches and have open floor space below the snare. The memory locks are a nice touch; I would take extreme caution not to overtighten these as well for fear of breaking them. One unexpected bonus; the snare now has a bit more tone and resonance than when it was hard mounted to the traditional three leg snare stand. Final Thoughts: For a budget conscience player this appears to be a great product, for full time players you may want to read up on the DW version. Full disclosure, I have not used the DW version, but from my obsessive review reading conclude it is overall a more substantial design with a substantially higher price tag. All in all, this stand is highly adjustable, moderately sturdy and a great value.

This set of bars is intended to help a drummer attach electronics to a drum rack securely. It's very well made (I love Gibraltar hardware). I'm using a 15" MacBook Pro running Superior Drummer as the voice module for my studio drum kit, the sound is amazing and I'd give this Gibraltar hardware 5-stars except the various parts that touch the laptop computer are not all covered in rubber, the knurled knobs on the rear adjustable grippers scratched the top (lid) of my MacBook. I've got the Gibraltar arms covered with a towel now to prevent future scratches. I'd like these better if they had more rubber on them to protect the computer. The towel does not look good but at least it protects my laptop. I'll probably make a piece of wood that clamps in these Gibraltar arms and acts like a secure table in the near future to eliminate the towel. Good luck and good music to all!

I used these rubber feet on my Gibraltar rack instead of T Leg Assemblies to save floor space and facilitate the positioning of other hardware. I used these on 3 points and had no stability issues. I forgot my drum rug and played outdoors on a deck like surface and the rack stayed put. I made the mistake of leaving the spare foot on the floor and my puppy mistook it for a chew toy. The puppy is fine, but the foot has to be replaced. If you have a puppy, child, or significant other who likes to chew things it finds on the floor, be sure to store any unused feet in a secure place.

These Gibraltar slip over pads are very handy, more than a footing, I use them to position other gear (think keyboards or the like) on customized rack builds for more than drums. Very handy little items.
