As expected

I purchased this item for my 07 F250. The OEM fan clutch was not reporting fan speed and as a result the fan ran at full speed. Afterwords I began to having problems with high coolant and oil temperatures while underload in the summer. I live in Arizona and didn't notice the issue till half way up a mountain in 115 degree outside temps. Out of nowhere my coolant, transmission and oil temps shot up to 160 and the truck began to defuel. It was not obvious but with a scan tool I discovered the fan would operate normally untill locked in for a couple miles then it would let go. I could see with a scan tool at these times the computer would be calling for 100% fan and the speed sensor on the fan would be returning 680rpm when it should be 2000 plus rpm. Then the fan clutch would cool and kick in and then put then in then out till you broke your truck or made it to the top of the hill. This clutch may have cost me a hi pressure oil pump and who knows what other damage it may have caused. Worst part about it the 30 day return window has barley passed and I cannot even get my money back for this piece of garbage.

Very easy to install and pretty straightforward.

Runs cooler than a good waterpump

This product is junk! Quit working after a month during a 1000 mile tow. I would not recommend to anyone. Sure glad I go the extended warranty.
