Works as Advertised and Perfect for Me
This gets the job done! I bought 3 magnets - 2 for the right side of my laptop monitor to hold up my Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra, and one for the left side to hold up my phoine. Altogether, I installed 4 metal plates to my laptop so that I have the option of placing the extra monitor on the left or right side. The adhesive used on the metal plates is 3M VHB, which is the best advesive on the market, and perfect for this use case. The magnets are heavy and strong, and the adhesive is strong, After a month of usage, I can say 'so far, so good'. I ahve the following comments to add:1) The cure time of the 3M VHB adhesive at room temperature is as follows: approximately 50% of the ultimate strength will be achieved after 20 minutes, 90% after 24 hours and 100% after 72 hours. Therefore, I waited the full 72 hours before even trying to attach and use the magnets and extra monitor. You won't regret waiting 72 hours, and you will be sorry (or disappointed) if you don't wait the full 72 hours. Why would you not, after spending $30+ for each magnet.2) Don't go cheap and buy only one magnet to hold up the wait of a tablet or monitor...buy two as suggested by the seller. One magnet will constantly result in sagging and a disappointing experience.3) If you attach a Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra as your second monitor, please be aware that the magnets will cause the screen to 'blank out' if you attach the tablet in landscape 'right-side-up' orientation (meaning, the camera and buttons are on the top edge of the monitor. This was an unexpected result, however, flipping the monitor in landscape 'upside-down' orientation (camera and buttons are on the bottom) does not blank out the screen, and the screen still displays correctly...so that is what I did. The unintended consequence of mounting the tablet in this position is that the charging port is on the edge that sandwiches to the laptop, making it unavailable for charging while the tablet is mounted and in use.4) I rated this setup as 4 stars for versatality only because the setup does not allow the angle of the screen to be adjusted, but the fixed angle of the magnets gives the screen a nearly-perfect viewing angle.5) Versatality was also downgraded because the weight of the magnets and the extra screen and the cell phone causes my laptop lid to fall completely back if i tilt the laptop screen back more than just a few degress. At home, I grab any sturdy object to prop up the screen from behind if I feel I need to tilt the angle back more. Away from home, I would wish for some type of adhesive 'flap' that could attach to the back of the laptop screen and be pulled out when needed to prop up the screen, and pressed flat when not needed. All in all, I love this purchase and it has made me infinitely more productive on the road, at the library, etc.

UPDATED! Bought Two To Mount Portable Monitor
Update: I was refunded the price of the holders and they replaced my broken monitor. My experience may have been uncommon and they fixed the issue very quickly, so I’m changing my rating.Until the adhesive failed, the product was great! Hoping to find another form of adhesive to try the product again since it was the adhesive that failed and not the product itself.I purchased two of these for around $70 to mount my 17.3” portable monitor to my laptop. Came home today to find that the adhesive failed on the plates and my monitor was on the floor!I thought these were great when I got them, however, I do NOT recommend now!

Was really skeptical at first, now it’s a staple of my daily workflow!
Like so many that have tried to mount second displays, iPads, or Phones to a laptop, I was skeptical that I would find a product that could do it successfully. Most are flimsy, don’t attach right, or require permanent attachment. While extremely heavy and non-adjustable, this thing is by far the best solution I’ve found to mount just about anything to my laptop. It’s easily removable, seems to sit at just the right angle for a second display, allows me to easily swap out displays, and is rock-steady.I even went as far as mounting a 27in monitor to my existing desktop monitor in lieu of an arm…. And it worked! I expected to need at least two for that much weight, and it was certainly strained, but it held strong. Seriously powerful magnet, I’m not sure I’d want it near anything with a mechanical hard drive.Unlike most, I haven’t had any issues with the laptop display falling back under load, although this will most certainly vary by system.Overall, the price may seem steep for what is effectively a silicone-covered magnet but considering how well it works compared to the competition it is absolutely worth it.

Useless - One good and one extremely weak magnet
This does not work at all. Followed the video to the T and it won't hold up. One magnet is strong enough (just barely). The other is almost not even magnetic. Like one of those extremely cheap fridge magnets you get for free from someone advertising something they want you to stick to your fridge. Going to try to return but they'll probably decide to keep the return and not refund me because the adhesive is so strong I'm not going to chance destroying my devices. My two cents, avoid this unless your a gambler.

Holds strong. Can be angled.
My typical use case is connecting a KYY branded screen to my Dell laptop through one of the two USB-C ports. I had been using the stand that comes with the monitor, but wanted to try physically attaching it to my computer.Even though the screen weight was almost double the recommendation for just one mount, using the suggestion to mount it near the top so it can pivot down and rest against the laptop screen works perfectly fine.I noticed, however, that when I sit in front of my laptop, the secondary monitor attached to Hold Me Is not angled to my face and the display looks dimmer than it should. This is particularly important for me as I’m working outside in the sunlight and I need as much brightness as possible. The solution would be for me to sit in between my monitors, but the my keyboard would no longer be in front of my body. The mount needs a little bit more angle. The normal vector coming from the face of the display should be pointed to my eyes when I turn my head. I was able to manually bend the magnet mount slightly to give a better angle.Another concern I have, but haven’t had to deal with yet, is traveling with the magnet mount. I’m not sure where I should put it that would be safe and not damage other magnetically sensitive items I’ll be caring with me. For example, when I travel through an airport, I often take my wallet out and put it in my laptop bag. My ID is often outside of my wallet as it is needed to be shown to the TSA people. I’m concerned that the magnetic field strength from the rare earth metals in the mount might do something bad to the mag strip on my driver’s license or even my other credit cards. One potential solution for this, or at least to help mitigate the problem, would be to use thinner, metal plates that a user could use during transport. That should short out or shunt the flux lines and keep them from reaching out and touching critical components, like credit cards, and IDs.
