Birthday gift for my daughter.
My daughter loves her L.O.L Surprise Camera. It takes pictures, records videos, and you csn even add filters to your photos. It is great for beginner blogging and documentaries. My daughter is 6 and she has an easy time navigating through her new camera!

Good camera some issues
Kids like the camera but long term durability is yet to be seen. The self flip of the camera is very lose so not easy to get a good picture without holding it in place we need to find a way tighten. Software update was easy for me that others had issues with but I do have an IT background.

Probably good if you have a way to update the firmware
My daughter was so excited about this and I was excited for her. I purchased the camera as well as a micro-sd card for storage and then followed the instructions to update the firmware. Unfortunately I didn't realize that you need either a Windows or Mac computer in order to update the firmware, and I only have a Chromebook. I even went as far as downloading a trial of the Crossover app in order to run a Windows program through Linux, but I am not quite that tech savvy and couldn't get it to work, if it is even possible. I spent 2-3 hours researching and attempting to find a workaround to this, with no success. So the camera is basically just a camera then, as most of the features don't work without the latest firmware. It would be great if MGA could release a firmware update for Chromebooks.
