[Old Version] Intuit TurboTax Home & Business 2021, Federal and State Tax Return [MAC Download]

This is the version I prefer for doing my own taxes. Very easy to download and get started. No complaints.

Works for me. Have used it for over 20 years. It is not perfect. Seems to screw up "Foreign Tax Credit" for me every year until I figured out how to manually force it to give full credit. Amazon is the cheapest place to get it every year and it is discounted already in December.

I am self-employed, we own rental property, and this year my wife retired and we had to start taking money from retirement accounts, so our tax return was more complex than usual, and TurboTax did a great job on the Federal and state returns. I used to do tax returns, and after all the complications added in recent years, I'm glad to have software to make the process easier. The only issues were a couple of poorly worded items in the state return that weren't clear on what to do about changing medical insurance, and an incorrect 1099.Thanks to Amazon for a clean page that made it easy to order the right version of TurboTax; an earlier attempt to buy the Mac version elsewhere wound up getting the Windows version that I couldn't use.

Somewhat difficult to download at first. After some navigation was able to download. Also some difficulty finding access code. Was able to find, but not easily.

I have used Turbo Tax for years and bought this edition since my wife is self-employed. The program asks so many questions, you feel like your CPA is sitting next to you. I was unable to use the email feature to send in my North Carolina tax return (don't know why) and disappointed that using the email feature would cost an extra $25.00.I used H&R Block software a year before, but felt it was not as thorough as Turbo Tax. I will buy Turbo Tax for next year.

I've bought TurboTax for 10+ years, or more! Does exactly what it says; updates galore; but it gets you to the end of Tax and sends it to IRS for ya!

TurboTax software does not work if you sold a house and bought a house and received two 1098 forms for mortgage interest. It puts you in an endless loop of review and will not let you get to the final filing screen. It reports that it is waiting for the IRS to finalize the Mortgage Interest Deduction Worksheet to be able to handle more than one Form 1098. But that is not true; the IRS released it in January. Intuit's online accountants suggest consolidating both 1098s into one in the software, but that results in incorrect calculations if one mortgage is larger than $900,000. Not to mention that is FRAUD. TurboTax said the new update would be ready by Feb 17th, but I downloaded the latest update on Feb 18th, and it still says the same thing. After an hour and a half with TurboTax Support they concluded that it couldn't be fixed and suggested I file by paper by myself. What a joke! They sent me to an Intuit software refund site to request a refund. That site provides a case number, but then that number is apparently not real, because Intuit says they have no record of the refund request. I spent over 5 hours trying to resolve this issue before giving up. Since this is a systemic problem at Intuit, I assume it affects all TurboTax versions, include the online versions. Intuit definitely doesn't have their act together. I've used TurboTax for 8 years, and I have encountered a lot of bugs in the software that required weird work-arounds from their tech support teams. If I wasn't going through the resulting paperwork so closely, I would not have noticed so many errors it makes, such as not correctly calculating the full amount of mortgage interest deductions and property tax deductions and not selecting and maintaining the correct choice between itemized and standard deductions. I'm so disappointed, and I need to switch this year to another competing product. If you want your taxes done correctly, pick another product.

Been using TT for nearly 20 years. It works. This year, they updated the interface to some degree and that was frustrating for me because I'm very visual and had to get used to a new look. But did I do my taxes in one morning? Yes I did. Brought over my info from last year. Then, Boom. Done. Got my refund in less than a week, too.
