Gekauft am 04.12.2017 und defekt am 04.01.2018. Wahrscheinlich ist wieder einmal der interne Spannungswandler defekt, denn die LEDs selber sind in der Lage, wesentlich länger zu halten. Die Haltbarkeit der Spannungswandler kann man als Verbraucher leider nicht einschätzen und es werden von Seiten der Hersteller keine Angaben gemacht. Hier wäre der Gesetzgeber gefragt, ein Gesetz zu verabschieden, der eine Mindestlebensdauer von Netzteilen vorschreibt. Dadurch wird die lange Lebensdauer der LEDs zunichte gemacht. Technisch ist es möglich, Netzteile zu bauen, die Jahrzehnte halten.

I received the newer generation of this bulb - 1420lm but down to 11W (A++ energy rating) - and the dimensions are down to 105mm long and 60mm diameter. This newer bulb fits inside the fixture just like a classic incandescent bulb and gives off very pleasant warm white light.The bulb worked well for 10 months and then started flickering occasionally for a week until it it stopped working completely.The bulb claims to be good for 10 years of typical use (or 10,000 hours) and comes with a 3 year guarantee from Osram, but if you check Osram's guarantee details, it is valid only within Europe.Since I had the bulb only for 10 months, it would have been impossible for me to exceed the 10,000 hour limit even if it was on continuously (which it wasn't). I think I got out of this bulb about 2,000 hours of use.For the price this cost, this is a big disappointment. This was an expensive mistake.

I fitted one bulb 4 months ago and worked extremely well until it failed this evening. Instead of saving me money (electricity costs) they have COST me a lot more than I have saved due to the high purchase price and early failure. The packaging quotes an average life span of 10 years for these bulbs! Conclusion...a very poor investment.

Was looking for a brighter vintage style bulb and this is perfect. Gives a great whiter light but still retains a vintage look in the bowl style ceiling light. Would recommend. Seemed expensive before but as it’s exactly what I was looking for I’m happy to pay the price. I hope the bulbs last a good while.

I liked the retro look of the bulb although I thought it would be bigger. It looked well made and gave pleasant, bright illumination, a bit whiter than incandescent bulbs. The day after I installed the bulb it flickered a couple of times and died. Unluckily, this was one day after the return window so bang goes £7.51!
