Well made and flexible to suit many types of sleepers
Pillows are such a subjective item so it's difficult to write a review. I won't tell you what to buy but I will talk about my experience with The Coop Eden. We've had several pillows around the house over the years and the most recent was a pretty soft latex pillow that we purchased several years back. I've personally had some unrelated neck issues so thought it was time to make an upgrade seeing how important sleep is and how detrimental a back pillow can be.BackgroundI am primarily a back and occasional side sleeper with 2 bulged disks in my neck. Seeing how difficult it is to actually test pillows (outside of ordering them during a trial and sending them back) I wanted one that was flexible enough to be usable by a range of sleeping types. I also wanted something with good construction, easy maintenance, a warranty behind it and a fill material that was moderately supportive. I also didn't want to spend $200 on a pillow.ReviewAfter way too much research, I ended up selecting the Coop Eden as my primary pillow and I have been pleased. Straight out of the box I liked the packaging and the way the material was written in a friendly tone with simple instructions. Those are the intangibles that help make a great product. I also liked how the material was easy to fluff from the package by just throwing in the dryer. The pillow had a lot of fill by default but came with more fill which is a bonus. I even like the shape and feel of it. It feels much more premium than other pillows I've had and the gusseting is a nice touch. As for the feel in bed, it's both soft and supportive, which is what I wanted. There was too much fill for me by default, so I removed some, but thankfully that is easy and that is one of the core highlights of this product. I am not completely sold on the cooling features, but some may notice it more than I. I feel that some of that gets negated by the pillow case. The final thing I'll mention is there is a slight smell that has dissipated over time. It wasn't necessarily bad, but it's there and almost nutty if I had to describe it. So far, a great pillow upgrade.Plusses+ Great packaging and product literature. Like the style+ Was easy to fluff+ Easy to adjust fill (and comes with extra fill)+ Gusseting adds both a functional and cosmetic touch (may be a negative if you prefer the sides of your pillows to taper more)+ Price is high but lower than other premium competitorsMinuses- Not completely sold on the cooling features of it (your mileage may vary)- Had a slight nutty smell when new. Not bad but present.

Less hot.
The big question is, does this pillow provide a cooler sleep experience compared to other pillows. The answer is yes if your definition of cooler is less hot. It does not feel particularly cooler to the touch than other pillows. In fact, I have pillows that feel like they're cooler than the room temperature but are not as good at managing the heat while I sleep. This pillow does a better job at dissipating heat and I wake up with a less sweaty pillow case. I also don't wake up as often in the middle of the night to flip the pillow over. So while I'm happy with this pillow's performance compared to other pillows, it's not the sole answer to all my temperature regulating problems.Coolness aside, this pillow is very nice. It comes packaged in a way that expresses high quality, and the materials back up that impression. I fluffed it and let it air out for 24 hours as recommended, and was rewarded with a lovely semi-firm comfy pillow. I used all the extra filling because I like a more beefy pillow. I got the queen size pillow, but I think it's even bigger than that, which I really like. Once it's stuffed in the included case and placed into my bedding case, it ends up being a substantial size that retains its shape really well. I also like that the included case has a firm side and a more smushy side. Now all I need is the justification to spend the money to get a second one.

If You Like to Scrunch Your Pillow - this is for you!
I have purchased every type of pillow ever since I accidentally left my beloved foam pillow at an Airbnb. I had complete separation anxiety from my beloved pillow for 2 weeks as I gave all the 'stored' pillows in my home a second try. I own the cloud pillows, temper-pedic pillows, the purple pillows...you name it, I own it. They are all terrible. I asked AI what pillow I should consider given my lengthy criteria, and this pillow was in the top 3. I purchased it, was thankful that you could return it, and didn't expect much. Wow, was I surprised. I was excited on my first night, but needed to adjust the fill by removing some. It took me 3 times to remove the fill to get it just right. Now this pillow comes with 'extra' fill in the box, and I couldn't imagine how someone would need any extra, as it comes completely filled already. I removed approximately 20% of the fill. I love everything about this pillow. I can scrunch it up and is cool to sleep on. I highly recommend this pillow if you haven't found one you like. I desperately wanted to like the Tempur-Pedic pillows since I sleep on their mattress, but I couldn't. Give this one a try!
