Yes, I think it would be good for a Yorkshire terrier, my dog is small and it works well.

I CANNOT REALLY GIVE YOU AN HONEST ANSWER BECAUSE THIS IS MY FIRST ONE. i HAVE A TINY CHIHUAHUA WITH LONG HAIR AROUND HIS NECK AND IT WORKS GREAT. SORRY.
