Kenmore 9690 Refrigerator Water Filter, Clear, 2-Pack

Great value for filters for Sears Elite.

Expensive and don't last even the six months claimed. Icemaker will not perform if filter not changed every 3 to 4 months. Something to consider when purchasing like Kenmore product(s).Feel it's a gimmick.

We’ve used these for years. Our Kenmore Elite is the brand we have owned for many years. They say it is required that the filters are changed every three months or so, but sometime it can go a bit longer. The filter does it job and without any issues.

I am pleased with the filter. It fits perfectly in the refrigerator. The two pack saves money rather than buying just one. It is cheaper from Amazon than through Sears where the refrigerator was purchased.

I don't know why other reviewers state that this a generic water filter. As can be seen in the picture, it is the original Kenmore water filter with the model number as shown. Maybe other reviewers used the wrong model number, but this filter is as described and fits. Certainly less expensive that going to the SEARS PARTS site. I'm pleased with my purchase.

Not the first time I have purchased this water filter for my refrigerator. It works great, I will continue to purchase as long as I own this refrigerator.

This is the exact filter needed for our refrigerator. The directions were a little ambiguous, but a quick check of YouTube showed exactly how to change the filter and clear it out. I ordered these when I was unable to purchase from the store, and the associate suggested to order from Amazon. For the 2 pack, I save over $50 from the store.

Exactly what I needed in the time frame that was estimated! Just be sure to dispense about 12 glasses of water before drinking.

First purchase upon installation created a grey cloudy colour that took a little while to get cleared up.Recent purchase didn't,t allow a strong surge of water which is slower than all previous times.Over the years purchasing these filters from Sears we never had any issues. As long as we have our refrigerator, I don't have many options but to accept what is given.
