I have no clue what it is, but my labs absolutely love drinking from this bowl! I have a large gallon container bowl that will be full - they will cry for water if this one is empty and will wait until I o water in this bowl to drink. I have 4 labs and everyone w of them does the same thing! It also great reduces the slobber and spillage! My labs are terribly messy drinkers. Downside is I have to fill it 40 times a day.

It works really well but the floater in mine fills up with water. So it either has a defect or needs a gasket of some kind to fix this problem. Now if I'm supposed to pry this thing open once every few days to empty and clean it, then there needs to be a place to do so instead of me constantly cutting my hand trying to pry the dang thing open. I have sent a message to #Anypet but no responseIf mine is defective a new disc would've been nice

It has a rim around the top that snaps into place which the kittens figured out how to pop off in minutes. However even without the rim, the bowl is splash proof, play proof, move proof and spill proof. No more mess on my wood floors. I can also carry the bowl from the bedroom to the kitchen without spilling due to the floater which keeps it from splashing over the sides. This bowl has solved my problems with my messy kittens that loved to play in their water bowls. It's a great buy and I have now bought 2!

It worked great at first, but....The design of the floating piece is flawed. It allows water to seep inside of it. There is no way to get it all out and clean it. It will become moldy inside, like some bathtub toys for kids, and could be dangerous for a pet to drink water! The return window closed before this happened. I would love a refund. If there is something comparable that doesn't allow water to get inside of it, I am going to try and find it. The idea is great!

I got this water bowl to help prevent one of my cats from getting water ALL over my kitchen. His new hobby entailed taking his paw and dig in his water bowl continuously(as if he were digging for treasure). This bowl solved that problem, easy to clean, fill, and pick up without spilling water everywhere.

I had high hopes for this. I've literally tried every sort of water bowl for my “smart” corgi and thought I finally found the solution. Somehow, my dog managed to get the piece that holds the weighted part down off and use it as a chew toy. Thus, she once again got water everywhere. The piece literally snaps into place so I have no idea how she did it. Water bowl at least lasted two days.
