Used other types of water shoes before and they worked to keep my feet from getting skinned up on rocks or burned from hot sand, however, they collected sand and constantly needed emptying. Sand soles are stretchy and hug your feet like hosiery. Very light like walking bare foot, yet with a sole to keep feet protected in sand or water. Recently recovering from broken toe and these were perfect to hug my feet. Easy to put on and Velcro in the back to secure closed. Protected the soles from broken shells and hot sand, and loved that they don't fill with sand, dry quickly on and off of feet. I have wide, "Fred Flinstone" feet, women's size 8-8.5 and went for the next size up in fear they'd be too tight. However, I should have stayed in my size category in order not to have a thumbs room at toes. They weren't so floppy that I'd trip and worked well, but recommend to order true to size.

I bought these sand shoes for my 11 year old daughter for a soccer sand tournament. These sand shoes are a nice quality and true to sizing as outlined on the size chart. My only complaint is that my that there is not more Velcro around the base of the shoe. When my daughter affixed them tightly around her ankle, the tab was flapping around as there was not enough velcro on the base of the shoe to match up. She had to use sports tape to wrap around her ankle to keep the tab from flapping.

Took these on a trip to the Galapagos. Snorkled 3 times using them with full footed snorkle fins for extra insulation, given the cooler ocean water at this time of the year. They were a little loose, so agree with a other reviews wanting a bit more velcro to tighten the sock, but they were tight enough for swimming and walking around. Soles are thick for walking on gravel and weather-beaten wood. Happy I brought these.

Poor quality....came apart after 1 use

The sand soles are pretty nice. I can use them for almost anything: walking around the house, yoga socks (so my feet don't slip), and sometimes walking outside. Most definitely follow the fitting instructions! I got the correct size, but even them I had some room in the toes. Pros: soft material, velcro is easy to put on, the rubber on the soles is nice, snug fit around the ankles. Cons: Hard to tell which one goes on which foot, sometimes can make you feel off balance, the stitching to the rubber is fragile and quickly showed signs of tearing.

Take a size 5, extra small fits, they are snug. I ordered these and a different brand from a competitor and the sole of these is more substantial than the other pair I ordered. They keep the sand out.

Only Soles are Neoprene (wet suit material)! Description is misleading, which might be more of a seller thing than product. I was looking for neoprene socks for the cold water, but these are made more of a rash guard material, only the soles are neoprene.
