These are perfect for little hands. Not sharp enough to cut their fingers but just sharp enough to cut through most food. My son loves helping me in the kitchen and these are much easier for him to use than a thin butter knife. Only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that the ends where the “dogs noses” are have rusted already and they’ve only been used a handful of times.

My two year old loves using her knives and feels very grown up having them. I like feeling safe while knowing that she actually can safely cut with them. They are great quality and a great addition to any Montessori style home. She also uses them with clay, vegetables, bananas, fruit etc.

These are brilliant knives. Got them for my almost 2 year old (recommended for over 3) just so she can play chop with me when I'm cooking. She can hold them well and they can cut well through potato, apple, and bread etc, struggles a bit with carrot and swede but I'm sure when she's bigger with more han strength, she won't have a problem! The dog design means that the dogs ears act as a hand barrier to protect their fingers. You can also press down hard on your skin and it won't cut the skin!
