This works AMAZINGLY and I have a high metabolism for lidocaine.
I have plenty of tattoos already so I have done the experience part of getting tattoos. I was getting a tap out session over my leg including the front and back of my knee and some work done in some really sensitive areas on my inner thigh that already had some ink so I definitely wasn’t going to go in cold turkey this time. I spread it on pretty thick and rubbed it in pretty well and wrapped in seran wrap like the reviews and instructions said. I was pretty skeptical at first because I know from other experiences with numbing medicine I have a really high metabolism. After about an hour and half my leg was completely numb. We took off the seran wrap and cleaned it right before the tattoo started there. The cream stayed completely numb through the outlines and stayed very tolerable through the shading. After several hours of tattooing my skin was not numb at all and we sprayed and cleaned all the tattoos at once and applied Vaseline

Afraid of needles? Look no further!
I have not been to my appointment yet, but I can say with 100% confidence that this is just the thing that will ease my mind. See, I hate needles. I don't fear the needle itself, but I do fear the "stick"...and when things are passing in and out of my body because of it. It weirds me out. Even typing that makes me feel icky. So here I am, a day before my blood draw appointment, and I have paired this with tegaderm dressing and I can say it works perfectly. It MUST be applied correctly though, and timing is important! My latest test was on the left elbow crook. I rubbed in a small amount in about the size of a quarter and then blobbed on a good heap also about the size of a quarter. I stuck the tegaderm dressing over this , being careful not to smoosh it down, and waited about 30 minutes. I took off the dressing, wiped off the cream with a paper towel, and proceeded to masochistically poke the spot with something sharp. I couldn't feel any sort of poke for a long time after I wiped off the cream. I think that if the cream can be removed within 1-5 minutes before the needle stick, that it will work the best.To sum it up, if you are afraid of needles or needle sticks, this could very well be the product for you. And it's even better that you don't need a prescription!. Heck with what the tube may say. Just follow directions as close as possible and it should work for you!

LifeSaver!!
OMG...what a lifesaver!! After being professionally waxed for years, I finally saved and decided to get a laser package for a Brazilian bikini. I have a high pain tolerance and would get waxed with no numbing cream or ibuprofen. So I was shocked at my laser treatment when I was completely unprepared and could not get through the first session. Most people had reported a rubber band sting and after having a tattoo this was more in line with that kind of pain. I will say that I am American Indian and they used the YAG laser on me which is safe for level 5/6 darker skin tones. I rescheduled my treatment for a week later and bought this LMX 5% cream from Amazon after much research. I took 2 ibuprofen an hour before and put the cream on 30 minutes before and covered the area with plastic wrap (mainly so it doesn't evaporate or get absorbed by your clothing). While I still experienced discomfort, I was able to complete the session. The cream is expensive but well worth it, a little goes a long way so I expect the tube to last all six treatments!

It’s ok
Bought this when I was doing Laser Treatment but the numbing wears off after like 10 minutes. It may be depending on the person themselves.
