Steel better than plastic, these were/are the best value on Amazon
These steel litter boxes are a godsend and worth every penny. This one in particular was a good value and actually identical to the one I bought 4 years ago so I'm happy. Nice and deep/tall so they retain litter well (as well as can be for tracking). Built strong. My other is 4 years old and only has a bit of light scratching on bottom, nothing to fret about. These boxes are so much better for your kitty, cleaner and don't gouge or are porous. They clean up and dry much quicker than plastic boxes. They like the smell better because they don't absorb the stink. I like it too, I've noticed a difference since I've binned the plastic litter pan and have both litter boxes as steel. They're also great for if you have a big beast of a cat like a Maine Coon.I'm so glad I found this one for the price (and not $60-70) and bit the bullet, I'll never go back to plastic boxes but at my cats age, I think these steel boxes will outlast him.

Better than Expected!
I have two litter boxes in my home for my four cats. I know, I should "technically" have five, but I just don't have room, so I scoop daily like it's my religion, and nobody seems to have any issues. Previously, I had DIY boxes made out of large storage totes that I cut holes in the front of. I was recently put on to the concept of a steel litter box and was intrigued, as my boxes were definitely stained, and most certainly due for replacement. I liked the DIY option for the high sides and large size, which is hard to find from premade litter boxes.I was a bit nervous about the stainless steel boxes due to the price, so decided to start with one, to make sure I liked it. I appreciate the dimensions of the largest size, which are the same width as my old boxes, and a bit longer. Two of my cats are quite large so I won't settle for small boxes. The sides of this box are fairly high, a smidge taller than the lip to the entrance hole on my old boxes. Unfortunately, if you have a cat who pees standing up, these won't work. I thankfully don't have that issue with any of mine.I honestly didn't think that the stainless steel boxes would impact user experience much, but I was so wrong. I originally feared that the litter would scrape along the bottom during scooping and make a nasty sound, but it doesn't at all. I used World's Best Cat litter and it glides very quietly along the bottom. Scooping is so much easier than on plastic, especially the old plastic of my previous boxes. Clumps release easily from the bottom and the scooper just glides through, no scraping involved. I bought a second one to upgrade the other box, and like the idea that they could, theoretically, last forever. I'm hopeful that the surface finish doesn't change over time, as that's part of what I love so much. The only "problem" I've had with either box so far is that the first one arrived with some small dents along the corners, as pictured. These don't affect the performance of the box, and the second one arrived in perfect condition. If you can get over the price tag, definitely try these boxes out, you will be surprised how great they are!

Sturdy and clean
This is the best litter box I have had for my cat in 30 years. It is very sturdy and does not retain odors. It is easy to clean and the right height for holding the litter. I saw the same thing in a local pet store for $20 more, so I thought this was a good value.

Bigger than you think, great investment
TLDR; Great investment. My house has SIGNIFICANTLY less “cat” smell now. It’s very durable & easy to clean. If you’re a cat person, having a stainless steel litter box makes a world of difference & will last you a lifetime. The large one is GIANT, so maybe try to measure out the dimensions of the box in your space before deciding which size you get.I ordered the larger size because I’m bad at visualizing size, & in my mind, the smaller ones seemed like they’d be too small for an adult cat.The large one is HUGE, like an industrial litter box. At first it felt almost too big for my 1 cat, but now I live somewhere with multiple cats in the house. It’s great for a house/shelter/etc with lots cats. It’s big enough to fill the entire firebox of my (defunct) fireplace if that helps with size.It doesn’t get scratched up when the cats clean their paws, so there’s no little grooves for bacteria/debris to build up in. This helps with the smell a LOT & makes it so, SO easy to clean (I just rinse out any residue with a hose, no more scrubbing or trying to smack the box on stuff to get bits & pieces out).I think if I got another one, I’d get a medium size. It takes a LOT of litter to fill the large one to an adequate depth, so I fill it less deep than I used to with smaller litter boxes I’ve owned in the past.

Yes to this litter box! No more smelly gross litter
AMAZING! NO smells. Easy to clean. Pee doesn't stick to it forever. Cats love it as well. I use an old plastic tub to keep it in with a cardboard lid. Works great and is sturdy not filsmy.

Nice upgrade!
Pricey, but I like this box. Sturdy without being too overbuilt or heavy. Rolled lip, so no sharp edges. I went with the 8in. height and it's been amazing so far! My cat shovels litter right out of most boxes while digging, but this one is tall enough to hold plenty of litter while preventing the mess. Any taller might be a pain for cats to get into, but this height seems just right for a healthy cat. Size of the box is plenty big for movement, and it's really nice that it stays pretty rectangular and straight all the way down. That makes scooping a bit easier with no rounded areas. I have a metal scoop and haven't had an issue yet. I do worry the box may scratch up and get litter stuck, but only time will tell. Wish it was $10-20 cheaper, but I am happy so far.

Great for Odor Control
These are fantastic litter boxes. After I read about the scratches in plastic litter boxes creating issues for bacteria buildup and smell, I got these. They work really well, they are easy to clean and easy to scoop. Quality is great. I would highly recommend getting a metal scoop as well - the plastic scoops don't hold up well against the metal. Overall they have cut down on the smell of our litter boxes and I'd buy them again.
