Jam KooKoo Scotch Bonnet Pepper Hot Sauce, 5 floz / 150 ml, Real Jamaican Premium Quality Hot Sauce, Gluten Free, NON-GMO (Yellow)

I bought this initially because it is hard to grow scotch bonnet peppers in our area, and while I can find habanero peppers, which many a time are called Scotch Bonnet THIS IS A LIE, they are not quite the same thing. Habanero peppers are kind of barrel shaped, where SB peppers really look like little hats. They are very very hot and have a unique smoky flavor. Every summer we make authentic Jamaican Jerk sauce from scratch, with allspice, palm sugar, fresh thyme from our garden, and this sauce in lieu of fresh peppers. I also use the sauce on/in anything that needs a smoky hot tweak. Bloody Marys for example, or when you bring home mild BBQ sauce by mistake.

The sticker on the bottom shows two different dates. The date on the bottom is the batch date (when it was made). The date on the top is the "best before" date (when it expires). The sticker is confusing, so please ignore the other reviewers saying they received expired hot sauce. They just don't know how to properly read the sticker. -------- Btw, this is some dang good sauce. It's kind of hot but not over the top. And will leave a spicy, delicious aftertaste in your mouth for awhile. I've already bought three bottles, one to give to a relative.

It's solid scotch bonnet pepper sauce. I know good scotch bonnet sauce this is legit. Update. Having tried about 10 other scotch bonnet hot sauces this is still my favorite. I know real Caribbean/West Indies food, Creole & buy whole scotch bonnet peppers to chop up & add to whatever. This is real scotch bonnet sauce. The Heat is secondary with scotch bonnet sauce. Even the spiciest Scotch Bonnet sauce is on the mild side to my chilli head pallet. It's about flavor & this sauce delivers. Plus I always add some real heat along side a tasty sauce. 7 Pot Primo or Ghost Pepper flakes for example. That way you get Heat & peppers natural flavors without changing the flavor too much. This sauce is great on everything. Still.5/5

I know if you from Jamaica, you know scotch bonnet pepper sauce. Compared to other brands such as Spur Tree and Grace, this one has a smooth end taste. It is spicy but definitely has flavor. I bought this in the Bronx NY, and I know it is carried in Brooklyn too. I also saw this sauce being featured in a instagram reel. Definitely high quality scotch bonnet pepper sauce. You can taste the quality in it. This brand also did a collaboration with a popular restaurant in NY. Trust me, try this once, you WILL buy it again.
